China News Service, December 1, According to a report by the Russian Satellite Network on November 30, one of the organizers of the Russian "Satellite-V" new crown vaccine clinical trial, Moscow State Sechenov First Medical University Institute of Translational Medicine and Biotechnology Director Tarasov said that in the summer of 2020, all volunteers who participated in the first phase of clinical trials of the vaccine were immunized, and no one was infected with the new coronavirus.

  According to reports, Tarasov said: "Since the start of the vaccination trial, half a year has passed. We have been in communication with the volunteers and regularly check their health. None of them has been infected."

At the "Gamaleya" National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology in Moscow, Russia, staff demonstrated the new crown vaccine.

  On August 11, the Russian Ministry of Health registered the world's first new crown vaccine "Satellite-V".

The vaccine was jointly developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of Gamalieya and the Russian Direct Investment Fund. It uses a two-dose vaccination procedure, using two human adenoviruses as carriers, and the vaccination interval is three weeks apart.

Currently, the vaccine is undergoing post-registration trials in Moscow.

  On November 24, the official website of the "Satellite-V" vaccine announced that the second interim analysis of the "Satellite-V" clinical trial data showed that on the 28th day of the first vaccine injection, the vaccine's effectiveness could reach 91.4 %, on the 42nd day of the first vaccination, the effectiveness of the vaccine exceeded 95%.

  In addition, on November 26, Russia's second new crown vaccine "EpiVacCorona" entered the trial after its registration.

The vaccine developed by Chumakov Immunobiological Preparation Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences is currently in clinical trials.

  Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Golikova stated that more than 117,000 doses of the "Satellite-V" new crown vaccine have entered circulation and plans to produce more than 2 million doses by the end of 2020.

Golikova also said that Russia plans to vaccinate its residents on a large scale starting from 2021, and the vaccination will be voluntary.
