His Highness said - in a speech addressed through the magazine "Dera Al Watan" on the occasion of the 49th National Day - today we celebrate the 49th anniversary of the establishment of the Union State, which was based on the sound vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "may God rest his soul" and his brothers, the founders of the Union, to make an achievement It is an exceptional one based on building people and investing in them to make the UAE a center of prosperity and continuous growth in the region and the world in what its children achieve in all fields.
His Highness added: We in the UAE, government and people, are moving steadfastly to place the UAE in the ranks of developed countries by protecting our human, social and economic capabilities alike, and striving for development and advancement at all levels. Spread in the hearts of Emirati people towards more achievements
His Highness concluded by saying: On this day, I can only raise the highest verses of congratulations and blessings to my brother His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, "may God protect him", and my brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
