Passau (dpa / lby) - Actor and cabaret artist Ottfried Fischer (67) lives in Germany's Corona hotspot Passau and therefore hardly ever goes outside.

But he was not bored, he told the German press agency.

Lately he has been writing as a columnist for the Passau diocese and the Altöttinger Liebfrauenbote.

"It's a lot of fun."

His first column with the title “Spötterdämmerung” has already appeared.

The texts should be critical of the church, said the avowed Catholic, who once had an audience of millions on television as "Pastor Braun".

Otherwise, Fischer finds “being switched off” in lockdown in a certain way reflective.

"You can go through this time with a clear conscience, after all, you don't miss anything," said Fischer.

His wife Simone, however, is a little toying with the camp fever because there is nowhere to go and nothing to plan.

Fischer is currently in contact with fellow cabaret artists and actors by telephone.

He criticizes the closure of the restaurant.

The innkeepers have invested heavily in setting up their restaurants conscientiously and complying with hygiene requirements.
