Kiel (dpa / lno) - A 16-year-old youngster has had to answer for attempted murder before the Kiel district court since Tuesday.

The process takes place in camera to protect the personal rights of the student, said a court spokesman on request.

The indictment accuses the young man of trying to steal his Rolex watch in June after intimate contacts in the Hamburg apartment of an Internet friend.

He is said to have rammed a knife into the man's stomach.

When the victim shouted loudly for help, the student fled.

He is also accused of attempted aggravated robbery and dangerous bodily harm.

The 16-year-old was detained in a juvenile detention center.

The youth chamber of the court has planned a total of six hearing days until December 21st. 13 witnesses and two experts in forensic medicine and adolescent psychiatry are invited.
