Bochum (dpa / lnw) - The trial of the violent death of a mother of three starts today at the Bochum jury court.

The woman's ex-partner is accused.

The 40-year-old is said to have beaten and then strangled the mother of his children in his Herten apartment in the Recklinghausen district at the end of June 2020.

According to the indictment, he should not have agreed to share custody of the two to five-year-old children.

The public prosecutor assumes that the Syrian has felt hurt in his honor.

His 42-year-old partner had separated from him around four months earlier.

The charge is murder.
