"I have a basic trust in the decision-makers," said the actor and author of the German Press Agency in Mannheim.
He is convinced that Merkel is acting to the best of her knowledge and belief.
But he also understands the opponents of the corona measures.
"It is important to be critical, some measures are not thought through to the end."
He himself is suffering from the crisis because he cannot appear as an actor and had to cancel readings of his books.
The now 33-year-old was on the TV show "Wetten, dass ..?"
had an accident and has been in a wheelchair ever since.
Koch advocates "digging up one or the other buried traits - long-suffering, patience, discipline - and perhaps first on your knees and then, if necessary, on the barricades".
