Hanover (dpa / lni) - A nationwide alliance for the integration of refugees in Lower Saxony is celebrating its fifth anniversary today.
At the end of 2015, the then red-green state government, the German trade union federation, business associations and the Christian churches launched a call for refugee aid with the motto “Lower Saxony tackles”.
The aim was to better network local offers of help and, for example, to standardize language courses.
The anniversary event on Monday, at which Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD) is also expected, can be followed live on the Internet at niedersachsen-packt-an.de.
