At 07:00 local time (08:00 Moscow time), 266 polling stations were opened in the region, TASS reports.
45 people are registered to participate in the parliamentary elections, who will compete for 33 deputy mandates.
Polling stations will close at 20:00 local time (21:00 Moscow time).
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the statement of the elected President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, that Russian peacekeepers should be withdrawn from there to resolve the conflict in Transnistria.
