She noted that in the course of a random check of the Accounts Chamber, a large number of violations were revealed both in terms of shortage and overpayment of pensions.

“After that, a more thorough check of the correctness of pension payments will be carried out, because, on the one hand, citizens do not receive a certain part of pension payments, and on the other hand, the Pension Fund's expenses increase, which cannot always be reimbursed,” she said in an interview with the agency “ Prime ".

Ivanova-Shvets said that first of all, citizens will be checked for additional income. 

In addition, they plan to check the residence of pensioners.

It will affect those citizens who receive an increased pension in the northern regions, live abroad or receive a pension by proxy through another person.

“As a result of inspections, there will certainly be those who will be entitled to additional money, and those who will have to return illegally received money to the fund, but after that there will be fewer claims and requests for pension payments,” the expert noted.

In August, following the results of the PFR audit, the Accounts Chamber identified a problem in which Russian pensioners faced a shortage of pension supplements.
