China News Service, Nanchang, November 29th (Reporter Liu Zhankun) The opening ceremony of the "Blooming Flowers—The Second Joint Exhibition of Painting and Calligraphy of Gantai Colleges and Universities" co-sponsored by Jiangxi Normal University and Taiwan Chinese Calligraphy Society. The video format was carried out across time and space in Nanchang and Taipei, and calligraphers and painters on both sides of the strait also created themed works simultaneously on the spot.

"There is a confidant in the sea, and the world is close to each other." At the opening ceremony, Zhou Lisheng, vice president of Jiangxi Normal University, said that due to the impact of the epidemic, the event was connected by live video to build a bridge between Taiwan and Jiangxi.

Since the first joint exhibition of painting and calligraphy of Gan-Taiwan colleges and universities last year, it has become an effective measure for Gan-Taiwan colleges and universities to implement the concept of "a family relationship between the two sides of the strait". It has made positive contributions to promoting cross-strait cultural identity and promoting the prosperity and development of Chinese culture.

"It is a great pleasure to share this event with friends from Taiwan's painting and calligraphy circles, and to express friendship."

Wu Chaocang, honorary chairman of the Taiwan Chinese Lulu Calligraphy Association, said that calligraphy is a unique culture of China and can be said to be a treasure of Chinese culture.

Compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to the Chinese nation, are connected by blood and share the same roots.

I hope that through this event, we can communicate closely to improve the level.

On the road of cultural inheritance, the two sides of the strait should work together to develop and flourish together.

Different from the theme of the last "Zen Heart Family Love", the painting and calligraphy exhibition of Gantai Colleges and Universities takes "Blooming Flowers" as the theme. A total of 107 paintings and calligraphy works by more than 100 calligraphers and painters from the universities of Jiangxi and Taiwan are exhibited, including Jiangxi calligraphy and painting. There are 47 pieces of works and 60 pieces of Taiwanese calligraphy and painting.

The reporter noted that at the opening ceremony, Nanchang and Taipei also held the "Cloud Pen Club" calligraphy and calligraphy creation activities at the same time. The calligraphy and painting works of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait were created by calligraphy works and traditional Chinese paintings.

The works of the two sides fit the theme of this year, implying that between the calligraphers and painters on both sides of the strait, the flowers of friendship between you and me have bloomed together.
