November 29, 2020 In the next few days, two anti Covid vaccination platforms will be subject to scrutiny and "hopefully for approval, if all the guarantees are found".

This was stated by Professor Franco Locatelli, president of the Higher Health Council and member of the scientific technical committee which presides over the analysis of the epidemiological situation and the identification of health mitigation measures, speaking at "Che tempo che fa" on Rai3.

The green light for the first two Covid vaccines could be "a Christmas present", and then from January 15 to be "in a position to plan the administration of the vaccines", he added.

Locatelli also said "no doubt about the safety of vaccines, all the steps that will have to certify the safety profile will be largely, and only largely, complied with and therefore no doubt that the vaccines that will exist we will be able to define them as safe".

As for the hypothesis of forcing vaccination, Locatelli argued "I believe more in persuasion and conviction and in the culture of the vaccine. Creating a culture of vaccinations is absolutely fundamental. Then for certain professional categories the discourse becomes even more stringent".
