Rostock (dpa / mv) - The police pulled a completely overloaded vehicle transporter out of traffic in Rostock on Sunday.

As a police spokesman explained on Sunday, the 31-year-old driver and his team were noticed in the ferry port shortly before the approach to Autobahn 19 Rostock-Berlin.

The small truck with trailer had a transporter on the tractor unit and a heavy tractor on the trailer, so that it had a total weight of 9.3 tons.

After the weighing, it was clear: Instead of the permitted almost 3 tonnes of cargo, the vehicle was more than twice as heavy. The driver explained that he had already come across the ferry from Sweden. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old had to unload part of his cargo and request another vehicle from his company. After the man had paid a fine of more than 400 euros, he was allowed to drive on - without the tractor as the heaviest part of the freight.
