Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - A film team from Saxony-Anhalt has received a special award from the state endowed with 800 euros for its contribution on voluntary service in Europe.

The State Chancellery announced on Saturday that a total of 75 films were nominated for the “Saxony-Anhalt Youth Video Prize”.

The young filmmakers who were awarded the special prize “Europe - here and now” convinced the jury with their cinematic stories from the European funding program.

In addition, prizes were awarded in three other categories.

Among other things, an educational film project entitled “Friendship above and below the water” as well as the films “Zeitstreife” and “Stranded” won.

The winners received prize money totaling 3,300 euros.

According to the information, the youth video prize was awarded digitally due to the corona.

The competition took place for the 26th time, it was said.

This time the motto of the event was “Get out”.
