Berlin (dpa / bb) - A motorist fleeing from the police raced through Berlin and crashed into another car with his car.

Officials wanted to check the 28-year-old in Schönefeld because his license plates were reported as stolen, as the police announced on Saturday.

The man, who according to the police does not have a driver's license, is said to have accelerated and drove into oncoming traffic on his escape.

His vehicle only stopped when he crashed into another car in Adlershof.

The driver, his co-driver and the driver of the second car were uninjured, according to the police.

Police confiscated the unauthorized car, which contained another pair of stolen license plates and suspected drugs.

Blood was drawn from the speeder to see if he was under the influence of drugs.
