Berte Marie Ulveseter is the country responsible for the Norwegian Church's emergency aid in Sudan, a partner with the Church of Sweden, which is one of the organizations on site at the border.

According to her, most things are missing in the camps where the refugees have gathered.

- It is a dramatic situation.

Many have left all their belongings behind and have nothing with them but the clothes they are wearing, she says.

- Everything is missing: protection, food, clean drinking water and psychological help.

Many of the people on site are children.

- It is a mixture of women, men and children.

Many of the children have lost or been separated from their parents and are alone, says Berte Marie Ulveseter.
