An investigation is underway to try to identify the perpetrator (s) of this act.
Several Molotov cocktails were thrown Friday evening around 10 p.m. in the courtyard of the police station in Cahors, the prefecture of Lot.
One of these projectiles hit a policeman's personal car, which burned to the ground.
Two other vehicles were damaged by the spread of the flames: one also belonging to an official and the other to the police.
No injuries were to be deplored, since no one was in the yard during the attack.
According to Alliance Police nationale Occitanie, this act “has not been claimed” and its “motive remains unexplained”.
In a press release, the union "notes that anti-click hatred is not the prerogative of metropolises" after the event that occurred Friday evening in a city of about 20,000 inhabitants (43,000 including the urban area).
