Luleåbo received a false infection protection letter - authorities warn

It was a person in Luleå who received the letter home where the recipient is claimed to have been exposed to Covid-19 and is asked to stay at home.

From the letter, the head of security can not determine what the purpose is but says that there are several ways to cheat.

- It may be that you contact the recipient of the letter within days and that you then have to identify yourself or something via Bank ID.

There may be more letters

The bluff letter is alleged to come from the Public Health Agency, but according to the Norrbotten Region, there are languages ​​and wordings in the letter that reveal the letter writer.

So far, a letter has been discovered, but the authorities suspect that there are more.

- There can of course be more and that is why we want to go out and warn, says the head of security at the Norrbotten Region Rickard Stewén.
