Lambrecht stood on the side of Union parliamentary group leader Ralph Brinkhaus (CDU), who had also called for financial participation from the federal states.

"In two supplementary budgets, the parliament authorized the government in the course of this year to take out loans of more than 200 billion euros in 2020 to combat the pandemic and its economic consequences," said Lambrecht.
