There is still a mystery about how 6-year-old Jasmina Jasharaj disappeared from the Hägnen area in Sävsjö municipality in 1997.

The Jasmine Case becomes a new book

For many years, Jasmina's parents have been looking for her, hoping to find out what happened to their daughter.

The father Rexhep Jasharaj who SVT previously interviewed about the Jasmina case died of cancer in 2017, without knowing what happened to his daughter.

- Before he died, he encouraged me to continue writing a book about Jasmina and to continue fighting, says Florije Jasharaj.

"Can not give up"

On the first of December, a book is launched that Florije Jasharaj describes as her dream, a book about how her life was affected by Jasmina's disappearance.

It was written together with the author Assar Andersson.

And the reason is that Florije Jasharaj wants the story of her family and the Jasmina case to survive in case she dies.

- This book is about how things went for me in life after Jasmina disappeared, she says.

Writing a book about this that happened so long ago, does not it just tear up old wounds again?

- I do not think so, this book can make someone say something that can help me understand the disappearance of Jasmina.

I can not give up, I have to keep fighting.

I hope that something new will emerge after the book is launched, she says.

Florije Jasharaj believes that Jasmina is alive, see more about it in the clip above.
