In Taiwan's parliament, opposition lawmakers threw pig guts into a fierce struggle.

Taiwanese media reported that opposition lawmakers, confronting US pork imports, threw pig intestines in Congress yesterday (27th).

Yesterday's struggle led to a struggle between the opposition lawmakers as executive chief Su Zhenchang started speaking in the parliament, as some members of the opposition Guomintang party poured buckets of pig intestines onto the floor.

At the end of last August, Taiwan President Chai Ing-won announced that it would allow imports of US pork containing lactopamine and beef over 30 months of age.
