On Monday, 59 people were considered infected.

After renewed testing, it has now been shown that the number of infected people has continued to rise.

Those affected and their contact persons were therefore moved to the quarantine area of ​​the facility.

A total of 680 women and men currently lived in the facility in the Trier-Saarburg district.

You are not allowed to leave the accommodation for the time being.

The Saarland radio had previously reported.

The accommodation, which is one of the four reception facilities for asylum seekers in the country, had already been quarantined after a corona outbreak in August.

At that time, 65 infections with the coronavirus were counted.
