According to the National Board of Health and Welfare, people who are homeless are particularly vulnerable to the risk of becoming infected and seriously ill with covid-19.

Among other things, because many of them have reduced physical health and chronic diseases and can thus belong to risk groups.

In Västerås, the social services have had an apartment since last spring so that those who have been diagnosed with corona can have a safe place to rest and recover.

- We have arranged an apartment that functions as an emergency room.

It has been used twice since March, says Christina Persson, development manager at the individual and family administration in Västerås.
