The New York Times (NYT) in the U.S. reported on the 27th (local time) that the number of hospitalized patients was 9,481 as of the 26th, citing the corona patient status aggregation site'Corona 19 Tracking Project'.



As a result, the number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in the U.S. reached a 17th consecutive high.



Of the total inpatients, the number of patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) reached 17,802, and 5,979 were equipped with a respirator.



In addition, the number of new corona19 confirmed cases reached 100,000, with a close approach to 13 million cumulative patients for 24 consecutive days.



According to the United States' Johns Hopkins University, the cumulative confirmed cases were 12.9 million, and the death toll was 263,000.



CNN broadcast citing data from Johns Hopkins University and reported that 11,611 new patients had occurred and 1,232 died during the 26th day of the Thanksgiving holiday.



In particular, the statistics on the 26th are figures that do not include the current status of Corona 19 in 20 states due to the Thanksgiving holiday, so it is predicted that patients and deaths will increase after the holiday.



CNN broadcast predicted that there will be a delay in counting corona patients by state health authorities during the Thanksgiving holiday, and confirmed cases related to the Thanksgiving shift will be reflected after the first week of December.
