The Part-Dieu shopping center in Lyon will take advantage of this weekend and the reopening of non-essential shops to inaugurate La Lanterne, its new extension.

On this occasion, visitors will be able to discover 40 new shops, mainly clothing, decoration and catering stores.

Two brands will open for the first time in Lyon: EcoCentric, an organic cosmetics store and Victoria Magdalena, a jewelry and watch store.

34 million visitors per year before the pandemic

The date of the inauguration was set for the end of 2020. Despite the two lockdowns, the shopping center was able to meet the deadlines it had set.

It has been the subject of work since 2017. The goal: to expand and open up more to the neighborhood.

In addition, a new roof terrace with green spaces is under construction.

The site is due to be completed in 2021.

La Part-Dieu welcomes 34 million visitors each year.

After transformation, Unibail-Rodamco hopes to increase its attendance to 40 million.
