Berlin (dpa) - According to a report by the rbb “Abendschau”, there are two corona cases in the Mitte health department - and a number of employees are in quarantine.
Two Bundeswehr soldiers who support the test team and the Corona hotline are said to have tested positive.
Mittes City Councilor for Health Ephraim Gothe (SPD) has confirmed in writing that there are two positive cases and that the follow-up has not yet been completed.
"The extent of the restrictions cannot yet be conclusively described," Gothe told the broadcaster on Friday.
According to "Abendschau" information, three out of four doctors and around ten other members of the pandemic team in the health department are in quarantine at home.
As a result, contact tracking, the Corona hotline and crisis management for nursing homes in Mitte, among others, are severely impaired.
