Four days after the acts of police violence observed on Monday, during the dismantling of a migrant camp in Paris, the IGPN submitted its report.

Police detained a breach that evening.

The police officer who tripped up a migrant, she said, used "disproportionate force".

The images of the muscular evacuation of a migrant camp, Monday evening, Place de la République in Paris, had aroused emotion and anger.

Following the events, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, had given 48 hours to the IGPN, the police force, to submit its report.

This was made public Thursday evening on social networks.

And on the three facts studied, there was at least one failure that evening.

"Disproportionate use of force"

During the operation, a policeman tripped up a migrant dressed in white, running through the streets of Paris.

It is this gesture that the IGPN considered "unjustified", the commissioner in question having made a "disproportionate use of force".

In its report, the police force judges that this gesture could seriously injure this man while he presented no threat to property and people.

A breach already denounced by the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin.

The latter also requested the meeting of a disciplinary council so that sanctions be taken against this commissioner.

"Frontal hunt", learned in police school

Another video, another controversial gesture: the kick of a police officer towards a demonstrator, called "frontal chased".

There is no breach here, says the IGPN.

Indeed, this technique, learned in police academy, made it possible to push back without injuring demonstrators considered aggressive.

Finally, this same police officer, accused of having hit journalist Rémy Busine, denies any act of violence.

This single video does not show a blow, according to the IGPN which continues to seek other videos and testimonials.

As the journalist has not yet been heard, the investigation continues.

The Minister of the Interior, for his part, will be heard on Monday by the Law Commission of the National Assembly on the subject of police violence a few days after new facts in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
