During all the years the family has lived in Tynderö, they have seen lynx tracks, but not until now did they get to see it - alive.
- Lynx circulate here constantly and when the children were small I was a little worried when it got dark in the evening, says Karin Åkerberg.
The wooden deck that the lynx has chosen as a lookout point is popular with animals, she says.
Cats and badgers have been visited by, but now it was the otherwise shy lynx who chose to park there.
"Gigantic"
There was no movie about the beautiful cat.
- No, we did not have that much time, it sat there just a few seconds before it left between our cars towards the neighbor.
After seeing it next to the car, she estimates that it measured about 80 centimeters above the withers.
- It was gigantic!
