According to information from Thursday, the investigators assume on the basis of forensic investigations that the fire was caused intentionally or negligently.

Surveillance cameras showed a man who had been several times on the night of November 17 in the area from which the flames had spread to wooden beams of the roof structure.

He was a possible perpetrator, announced the prosecutor and the police.

The suspect is a smoker and wore a jacket with a hood that was probably trimmed with fur during the night.

The officials have published excerpts from the video surveillance, among other things.

According to earlier information, the damage to the almost 100-year-old event hall in the city on Lake Constance amounts to several million euros.

The fire had completely destroyed the building despite rapid intervention by the fire brigade.

Nobody got hurt.
