Munich (dpa / lby) - After the federal-state agreement on Wednesday evening, the Bavarian cabinet decided to extend the partial lockdown and the strict contact restrictions for the Free State.

Leisure and cultural facilities of all kinds, as well as restaurants, must therefore initially remain closed until at least December 20, as the State Chancellery announced on Thursday.

Events are prohibited, and tourist accommodation is prohibited.

In addition: In Bavaria, libraries and archives (with the exception of university libraries) must also close, as well as adult education centers.

There are additional requirements for retailers in terms of the maximum number of customers.

For private contacts, the same rule will apply in future as in the federal-state agreement: “Private gatherings” will be limited to one's own household and one other household, but in any case to a maximum of five people, excluding children up to 14 years.

So far, Bavaria has been restricted to two households with a maximum of ten people, but including children.

But families and close friends should at least be able to celebrate Christmas together.

From December 23rd to January 1st at the latest, meetings “with close family and friends” should be possible, up to a maximum of ten people in total, excluding children up to 14 years of age.
