Bretzenheim (dpa / lrs) - A 22-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured on Thursday in an accident on federal highway 41 in the Bad Kreuznach district.
The man had lost control of the motorcycle in a left curve near the Bretzenheim junction, presumably due to excessive speed, as the police announced.
He hit the guardrail and sustained serious injuries.
According to the police, the motorcycle was not approved for use on public roads.
According to witness statements, the man also overtook several road users on the right before the accident.
Even here he is said to have been traveling too fast.
