"In Moscow, 77 patients have died, all of them were diagnosed with pneumonia and a positive test result for coronavirus infection was obtained," the operational headquarters said.
The day before, 73 patients with coronavirus died in the capital.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted that 95% of deceased patients with coronavirus in the capital were self-medicating.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, called the increase in the death rate from coronavirus in the country alarming.
