Fourth policeman suspended after beating man in Paris

A fourth police officer was suspended on Thursday after the beating of music producer Michel Zecler in Paris, AFP learned from a source close to the case.

Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced that he was going to ask for their dismissal.

This police officer, who arrived as reinforcements, is accused of having thrown a tear gas canister in the music studio where the violent arrest took place.

The three police officers who carried out the arrest were also suspended from their functions by the director general of the national police, Frédéric Veaux.
