Demonization and division


Today, Wednesday, US President-elect Joe Biden warned that Americans "will not allow" to disrespect the outcome of the presidential elections that were held on the third of November.

In a Thanksgiving speech in his home town of Wilmington, Biden urged an end to "the miserable season of division and demonization."

He added that in the United States, "we have free and fair elections ... and after that we respect the results," noting that "the citizens of this nation and the laws of the country will not allow anything else."

Reversal of results


As for the losing candidate, outgoing President Donald Trump, he called on his supporters to work to reverse the results of the presidential elections, claiming that it had been "rigged" to ensure the victory of Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

In a speech over the phone, Trump addressed his Republican supporters in Pennsylvania, saying, "We have to flip the election result."

"These elections were rigged," he added, reiterating some conspiracy theories about Biden’s victory that fell in most US courts.

"It is an election that we won easily, on a large scale," he said.

"It is an important moment in the history of our country. You are providing a very important service," he said.

And on Twitter, he re-posted a link to a poll news that showed that a majority of Republicans would vote for him if he ran again in 2024, commenting, "But 2020 is far from over."

Pardon Flynn


In a related context, the outgoing US President pardoned his former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who admitted lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in an investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential elections.

"It is a great honor for me to announce the granting of General Michael T. Flynn a complete pardon. Congratulations to General Flynn and his wonderful family. I know you will now have a really wonderful Thanksgiving," Trump wrote on Twitter.
