Leverkusen (AP) - Bundesliga soccer team Bayer Leverkusen has made a giant step towards the knockout round in the Europa League.

The team of coach Peter Bosz won against the Israeli cup winner Hapoel Be'er Sheva well deserved 4: 1 (1: 0) on Thursday evening and is now close to wintering in the European Cup with nine points from four games.

Patrik Schick (29th minute), Leon Bailey (48th), Kerem Demirbay (76th) and substitute Lucas Alario (80th) scored the goals for the favorites in the empty BayArena, who returned after a long injury.

Itamar Shviro (58th) scored 1: 2 for the clearly inferior guests.

Bayer had also won the first leg in Israel in Group C (4-2).

Leverkusen will have to play at OGC Nice on December 3, and the Werkself Slavia Prague will play their final group game a week later.
