Munich (dpa) - Robert Lewandowski was happy about the next goal milestone, Manuel Neuer about a Champions League evening full of brilliant deeds.

"Manu has been playing sensationally for a year," said coach Hansi Flick.

"He is in the form of his life."

With the premature group victory through the 3-1 (1-0) against RB Salzburg, defending champions FC Bayern Munich qualified for the round of 16.

"The fact that we are already group winners is a clear step in the right direction," said the outstanding national soccer goalkeeper Neuer.

Four wins in four games of the premier league season let Bayern's record series grow to 15 successes in a row.

"We won all games, dominated all games," said Neuer with satisfaction.

Chelsea FC, Sevilla FC, Barcelona FC, Juventus Turin, Manchester City and the defending champions are already in the top 16 teams.

"That was our big goal today," said coach Hansi Flick.

Lewandowski paved the way with the lead with his 71st goal in Europe's top league - only Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus Turin / 131 goals) and Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona / 118) are better.

An own goal by Maximilian Wöber (52nd) and a header from Leroy Sané (68th) provided the other hits.

But Neuer had a huge share, who was only overcome by Mergim Berisha (73rd), but was more in the spotlight than Flick liked.

The coach complained of slight ball losses and recklessness.

So he was all the happier that there was a new guy in the back and the opportunities in front were used well.

«The efficiency we showed was sensational and we have a world-class goalkeeper between the posts.

I'm happy to take the result with me, ”said Flick.

His answer to the question of whether Neuer and Lewandowski are currently the best in their positions in world football was short and clear: "Yes."

Flick did not want to overestimate the dismissal of premier class debutant Marc Roca (66th) in view of the ticket to the round of 16 and the group victory.

"The yellow-red card was unnecessary, but he can be satisfied with his debut," said Flick.

The Spanish U21 European champions were signed by Espanyol Barcelona for around nine million euros shortly before the end of the transfer window.

After their own win and Atlético Madrid's 0-0 victory over Lok Moscow, Bayern are sure to be the group winners, while Salzburg can still hope with just one point from four games.

"We're still alive," said coach Jesse Marsch and was amazed at the Munich guarantee of success.

«New is incredible.

He's the best goalie in the whole world. "
