Waltershausen (dpa / th) - A suspicious letter was received on Wednesday in a constituency office of the SPD in Waltershausen (Gotha district).
The police said it was sent from an unknown sender.
The content was checked together with fire fighters.
It turned out that these were not dangerous substances.
During the police operation, the surrounding streets were closed and residents and users of the affected residential and commercial building had to leave the building.
How many people were affected was not disclosed.
The Gotha Criminal Police has started the investigation.
