November 25, 2020 Iran and the US can "easily" return to the relations that existed before Donald Trump's election to the White House, that is, at the time of the Obama administration that signed the nuclear deal with Tehran.

Iranian President Hassan Rohani said today.

Joe Biden's administration, Rohani said, should "compensate for Trump's wrong policies".

"In this case - he added - Tehran and Washington will be able to completely change the situation and start a new path in all fields".

Yesterday the Iranian supreme leader, ali Khamenei, had instead expressed a negative opinion on the possibility of returning to negotiations with the United States in the short term.

"The sanctions against Iran - said Khamenei - are a bitter reality and a crime of the United States and their European allies, so we cannot hope for them, because they are hostile towards us. Holding talks with these countries will not give fruits ".
