Moers (dpa / lnw) - At a police check in Moers (Wesel district), a drunk 37-year-old injured two officers.

He had refused to give his personal details and was then searched, the police said on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old put up considerable resistance here.

The 24-year-old officer and her 25-year-old colleague suffered minor injuries.

After the attack, they were therefore no longer fit for duty.

According to a spokeswoman, the man had been checked for aggressively bullying several passers-by on Tuesday.

He had to give a blood sample.

It is now under investigation.
