Munich (dpa / lby) - Most Bavarian companies are satisfied with their choice of location.

19 out of 20 companies (95 percent) would relocate to the Free State, as a current study on behalf of the Association of Bavarian Economy (vbw) has shown, which the German Press Agency has exclusively in advance.

In the midst of the Corona crisis, loyalty to the location has thus improved slightly by 0.8 percentage points compared to the previous year.

The questioning had taken place in the summer.

The companies in the Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria are the most loyal with loyalties of 97.5 and 95.8 percent.

The comparatively lowest loyalty is in Upper Franconia, Middle Franconia and Swabia.

At 94.1 percent each, the values are also high there.

“The good result shows that companies feel that they are in good hands in Bavaria even during the Corona crisis,” emphasizes vbw Managing Director Bertram Brossardt.

The quality of the location is also rated very well overall.

With 75.5 out of 100 possible points, it is the second-highest value since the beginning of the recording in 2013. Only last year the judgment was a little bit better.

In the ranking of the administrative districts, Upper Bavaria and Swabia are ahead, while Upper Palatinate and Upper Franconia are behind.

Nevertheless, the companies also have a few complaints: If you look at individual fields, the school grades awarded by the companies surveyed do not shine.

There is a 3.5 each for administrative activities as well as the area of human capital and the work environment.

The grades for the general infrastructure with 2.9 and the innovation environment with 2.7 are also rather mediocre.

The energy and power supply comes off best with 2.5.

Interestingly, the grades for the individual areas have mostly deteriorated since 2013 - while general site satisfaction has increased.

Hanno Kempermann, one of the authors of the study, which the Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft Köln Consult GmbH carried out for the vbw, explains the discrepancy: When it comes to the overriding question of how the overall package is assessed, other factors were included, he says.

For example, the comparison with the development at other locations and factors such as security and quality of life in Bavaria.

“There are always things to improve in the details.

In general, however, the companies are quite satisfied. "
