Gronau (dpa / lnw) - With Coke, an attentive witness extinguished an apparently intentional fire on the hood of a car.
As the police announced on Wednesday, he noticed a fire on the car parked on a street in Gronau (Borken district) on Tuesday evening and unceremoniously showered it with his drink.
The property damage remained minor.
The police assume that unknown fire accelerators ignited on the hood.
The witness had stated that next to the burning car, a vehicle was parked at the same time.
According to the police, it is unclear whether this is related to the arson.
