TASS informs about this with reference to Natalya Pshenichnaya, Deputy Director for Clinical and Analytical Work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor.

"Most often, patients notice an increase in body temperature (78%), cough (57%)," Pshenichnaya said.

According to her, these symptoms can characterize both mild and severe disease.

She also stated that shortness of breath appears with a severe course of the disease and is combined with other symptoms.

15-40% of patients have muscle and joint pain, headache and weakness.

Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting occur in 20% of cases.

Pshenichnaya also said that the "most formidable symptom" of coronavirus infection COVID-19 is shortness of breath against the background of other symptoms of respiratory diseases.
