Microsoft's establishment of a data center in Gästrikland has led adult education in Sandviken to start several courses at upper secondary school level with a focus on IT and servers.

35 students have already been running since August.

- It is an education that will benefit several employers, says Maria Strömbrink, Deputy Principal of Adult Education.

Four data centers under construction

Microsoft is secretive about how many they need to hire, but states about 60 people per data center.

Currently, four centers are under construction in Sandviken, Valbo and Gävle.

- There is a lot of logistics around handling all server racks, says Mattias Ersson, operations manager for Microsoft's data center in Sweden.
