Frankfurt (dpa / lhe) - A sculpture designed from 37 sea containers by the artist Leon Löwentraut will be presented this Tuesday (11.00 a.m.) at Frankfurt Airport.

The 21-meter-high, 24-meter-wide and 6-meter-deep work of art bears the name “Global Gate” and its shape is based on the Brandenburg Gate, as stated in a message.

Accordingly, 17 motifs from the “# Art4GlobalGoals” campaign were attached to the work; these pictures by Löwentraut have already been seen at exhibitions in Mainz and other cities.

The photo campaign “My Future” by the 22-year-old Düsseldorf artist will also be shown in the passages of the sculpture.

The location at the airport was also chosen because it was easy to see from there from the apron, it said.

The work of art serves the worldwide campaign # Art4GlobalGoals, which is supported by Unesco.
