Magdeburg / Halle (dpa / sa) - After a World War II bomb was found in Halle, one has now also been discovered in Magdeburg.

The 250-kilogram bomb was found in an industrial area in the Rothensee district during exploratory work in the ground, the police said.

A police spokeswoman said on Tuesday whether companies will be affected by possible evacuations.

Residents are not affected.

The danger area and access roads would be cordoned off.

In Halle, a 75-kilogram aerial bomb was found on the construction site of the football youth training center in the Silberhöhe district on Monday evening. A radius of 500 meters around the site is evacuated. According to the city, around 2,800 residents are affected. A gym in the Roßlauer Straße has been set up as a contact point. The ordnance disposal service wanted to defuse the explosive device.
