Munich (dpa / lby) - The fronts in the collective bargaining dispute in the private bus industry have hardened.

The round of negotiations on Monday did not bring any result, said negotiator Franz Schütz from the Verdi Bayern union in the evening.

"The offer from the employers' association was more than inadequate."

The negotiating commission therefore rejected the offer submitted by the regional association of Bavarian bus operators (LBO).

Another negotiation date could not be agreed.

"This also expressly does not rule out further strikes in the Bavarian bus industry," said Schütz.

The collective agreement for 17,000 bus drivers in Bavaria has expired.

As early as September, the bus drivers union called for warning strikes in several Bavarian cities.
