Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - One day before the next decisive federal-state switch on further corona policy, the black-red-green state government comes together in Magdeburg.

The ministers around Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU) want to talk on Tuesday morning about which wishes and demands they want to enforce.

In the afternoon (2 p.m.) Haseloff wants to present the results of the deliberations.

It is already clear that the restrictions will be extended beyond November.

In some areas, further tightening is discussed.

The reason is that the infection process has not yet been slowed down sufficiently.

The nationwide goal is to reduce the number of new infections to below 50 per 100,000 inhabitants per week.

In Saxony-Anhalt, this value has continued to rise since the end of October and was significantly higher on Monday at 82.

In most other federal states, too, the value is well over 50.

On Wednesday, the heads of government of the federal and state governments want to agree on a joint approach to contain the corona infection situation.

Haseloff insisted again in advance that this does not have to mean that the same applies everywhere.

If you want to steer through the crisis together, you need a common corridor, said Haseloff on Monday.

But in the less affected countries such as Schleswig-Holstein, Saxony-Anhalt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, different rules may apply than in heavily affected countries such as Saxony and Bavaria.

According to Haseloff, it is conceivable that measures will be determined depending on the infection situation.

That also has something to do with the proportionality of the measures that have to withstand judicial review, he said.
