China News Service, November 23. According to Korea Broadcasting International (KBS) on the 23rd, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party (Liberal Democratic Party) had put pressure on the Mitte district of Berlin, Germany to remove the Peace Girl Statue. This does not help to solve the problem of the victims of Japanese military comfort women.

An official from the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the intention to dismantle the statues spontaneously set up by non-governmental organizations to mourn and educate historical facts goes against the spirit of "deep responsibility" and "apology and reflection" mentioned by Japan.

Previously, after the local civic group Korea Verband applied to the Berlin court to stop the execution of the order to remove the Peace Girl Statue, Mitte temporarily retained the relevant plan, saying that it would first wait for the court's decision.

According to a report from Japan’s Sankei Shimbun, recently, the Liberal Democratic Party members who advocated the removal of the Peace Girl Statue sent a statement to the mayor of Berlin’s Mitte District and the chairman of the Mitte District Parliament to support the cancellation of the permission to establish the Peace Girl Statue.
