Munich (AP) - Former Bundesliga professional Thorsten Fink attributes his success at Bayern to a decent way of dealing with the club.

The now 53-year-old had won four championship titles, three DFB Cup victories and the 2001 Champions League with Munich in seven years.

Although he was mostly a supplementary player, he could still go to the club bosses and ex-manager Uli Hoeneß at any time if there were problems.

“That's because I've always been honest and identified one hundred percent with the club,” said Fink in an interview with the Internet portals “Spox” and “Goal” on Monday.

“Incidentally, this applies to every loyal player or employee who has done honest work there.

That doesn't necessarily have to be the best player, ”said Fink, who was Vissel Kobe's coach in Japan until the summer.

The loyalty to the club was very important to Hoeneß.

"Anyone who has not identified with FC Bayern has felt that," emphasized Fink.

"Then the loan was quickly used up and the contract was not extended."
