Thanks to his first Masters coronation acquired on Sunday, the Russian Daniil Medvedev, world No. 4, is approaching 3rd place in the ATP ranking published on Monday, which sees only one change of position in the Top 100.
The 24-year-old Russian, who has so far never exceeded 4th in the world in his career, is only 655 points behind the No. 3 Austrian Dominic Thiem, his victim in the final on Sunday in London .
Thiem, also beaten in the final last year by the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, retains the same number of points compared to last week and is still 725 points behind the Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who once again failed in the Masters.
The world No.1, the Serbian Novak Djokovic, eliminated last year in the group stage of the Masters, increased his lead over Nadal, with a comfortable mattress of 2180 points.
Both players were beaten in the semi-finals in London.
The only change of position in the Top 100 concerns the 100th place since the Japanese Yuichi Sugita cedes the latter to the Slovakian Andrej Martin.
No French player having played in matches last week, the No. 1 tricolor remains Gaël Monfils, 11th in the world.
