They stole 1,300 dirhams planned by a runaway farmer

3 years in prison for a gang that stormed a European villa in Dubai

The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced three defendants (one of them a fugitive) to three years in prison and then deportation, on charges of coerced theft, after two of them infiltrated a villa in which a European woman and her two daughters resided, and stole 1,300 dirhams from them at gunpoint, and the Dubai Police arrested two of them, after A report of theft was received, and it was found that a third person (fugitive) was working as a farmer for the victims, who facilitated the accused's entry to the villa and the execution of the crime of theft.

The victim (58 years old - a teacher) said, during the investigations of the Public Prosecution, that she was in the kitchen at about 12:30 in the afternoon, when she heard the sound of the door of the house, so I thought that one of her daughters was the one who opened the door, but she was surprised by a masked person standing in front of her carrying a knife in his hand. I fell to the ground from shock.

She added that the masked person asked her for money, so she asked him not to harm her and assured him that she would give him all the sums she had, and in the meantime her eldest daughter attended, next to her another masked carrying a wooden stick, then her second daughter joined them.

She and her two daughters collected for the defendants all the money they had, including coins, adding that the toll amounted to about 1,300 dirhams, so they took it and left the villa, running away after warning them to notify the police, but one of her daughters informed the police immediately after the defendants fled.

A Dubai Police witness confirmed that a working group was formed that was able to identify the two suspects and arrest them, and it became clear during the investigation with them that they were fully aware of the house, and that they obtained information from the farmer (the fugitive accused).
